Geoff was taking part in Strictly Christmas 2022 ๐raising money for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice ๐๐ฉต, when, on the Friday night after the show, Carla spotted this handsome man again sat at a table and decided to tell him how good his flicks were๐บ. Geoff didn't get the hint, but thanks to a good friend, eventually the penny dropped ๐คฆ.ย Our first date was on the Sunday (following two shows and no sleep for Geoff๐ฅฑ) ๐.
Carla was already heading to Zambia ๐ฟ๐ฒ and Geoff embraced the idea, even coming to visit for a three week adventure ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ.ย It was during this adventure that we decided to move in together in Birmingham ๐ .
During the last few years we have enjoyed getting to know each other's family & friends and spending time enjoying our shared passions like adventures around the UK in Delilah ๐, gigs ๐ต๐ค๐ท๐ช, the arts ๐ญ ๐, lots of summer festival mischief ๐คฉ and lots of nice food๐ด.
On Boxing Day 2024 we flew to India for a brilliant 2 week holiday for a friend's wedding in the Gujarat, bookended with separate beach breaks in Goa (and Geoff's Birthday and New Year celebrations).ย It had already been a holiday to remember, and then to top it all off, it was on Patnem beach in Goa on the 6th January 2025 that Geoff got down on one knee.ย Carla didn't hear a word of the proposal for the happy tears (hence the puffy eyes in the photo!) ๐ด๐๐ฉด๐๐ฅน๐๐ฉโโค๏ธโ๐จ โค๏ธ.
